This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, implement, and consistently enhance highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure for AQI’s Software and SaaS platforms.
• Spearhead automation initiatives across infrastructure provisioning, deployments, incident response, and operational workflows to boost reliability and engineering velocity.
• Construct, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines that facilitate safe, repeatable, and efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to integrate reliability, security, and operability into system design and delivery.
• Take ownership of and improve observability across critical services, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and service health dashboards.
• Establish and monitor service objectives and operational metrics, such as SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, using them to drive continuous improvement.
• Address production incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement robust corrective and preventive measures.
• Support on-call operations and foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Promote and implement DevOps, SRE, and cloud-native best practices throughout the organization.
• Mentor team members and influence infrastructure standards, technical decisions, and platform roadmaps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, platform engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in building and supporting CI/CD pipelines in contemporary software delivery environments.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Practical knowledge of observability and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems in cloud-native environments.
• Ability to lead through influence, communicate effectively across teams, and ensure high-quality execution.
