This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance a highly available, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure for AQI’s Software and SaaS platforms.
• Lead automation efforts across infrastructure provisioning, deployments, incident response, and operational workflows to boost reliability and engineering velocity.
• Construct, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines that facilitate safe, repeatable, and efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to integrate reliability, security, and operability into system design and delivery.
• Own and improve observability across critical services, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and service health dashboards.
• Define and monitor service objectives and operational metrics, such as SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, utilizing them to foster continuous improvement.
• Address production incidents, lead root cause analyses, and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
• Support on-call operations and contribute to a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Advocate for and apply DevOps, SRE, and cloud-native best practices throughout the organization.
• Mentor team members and shape infrastructure standards, technical decisions, and platform roadmaps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, platform engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more leading cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in infrastructure as code and configuration management tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in building and supporting CI/CD pipelines in contemporary software delivery environments.
• Strong scripting and automation abilities using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Practical experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems in cloud-native environments.
• Capability to lead through influence, communicate effectively across teams, and ensure high-quality execution.
