This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide expert performance engineering services for Gas, Steam, and Combined Cycle turbine/plant setups, both in the field and remotely.

• Ensure precise and prompt documentation, installation of instrumentation, collection of field data, site operations, and communications with customers.

• Promote adherence to company policies, testing protocols, standards, and best practices.

• Advocate for safety, quality, accountability, operational excellence, and initiatives related to company culture.

• Collaborate with leadership in executing strategic priorities for the team and the business.

• Develop and utilize global stakeholder and technical networks.

• Guide engineers, assist in capability development and succession planning, and participate in hiring processes.

• Enhance and standardize thermal performance testing methods, tools, and procedures.

• Examine intricate test data, confirm results, identify technical issues, and perform root cause analyses.

• Oversee multi-event and multi-technology testing initiatives, managing teams, timelines, and deliverables.

• Formulate NPI testing strategies in collaboration with systems and product engineering stakeholders.

• Evaluate field test data, analyses, and deliverables for customers.

• Supervise testing instrumentation and data acquisition systems.

• Relay engineering risks, insights, and recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.

• Create field performance testing strategies aligned with contracts, commercial guarantees, and project objectives.

• Mitigate technical and performance risks, assist in ITO discussions, and support the development of new services.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• At least 8 years of experience in the industry related to thermal performance modeling, field testing, or thermal evaluation.

• Willingness to travel extensively for global assignments.

• Strong grasp of thermodynamics, thermodynamic systems, Combined Cycles, and thermodynamic cycles concerning gas turbines, steam turbines, and HRSGs.

• Advanced degree in Engineering is preferred.

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience is desirable.

• 8+ years of experience in thermal performance testing is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition system installation and operation.

• Advanced awareness of control system instrumentation, calibration, and its impact on performance.

• Profound understanding of turbine design and operational philosophy.

• Expertise in thermodynamic modeling and performance analysis.

• Strong computer proficiency, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and programming.

• Proficient in data reduction and reconciliation analysis.

• Experience in cross-functional teams.

• Extensive experience in customer-facing roles and presentations.

• Familiarity with Gas Power business models.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Clear, concise, and professional communication skills.

• Capability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

• Strong service-oriented mindset and solution-focused approach.

• Excellent facilitation and influencing skills.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
