This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Lead and manage significant projects or field assignments that possess intricate characteristics.
• This role involves conducting engineering studies, offering solutions to engineering-related challenges, and creating models for enhancement programs.
• Execute system analysis utilizing operational criteria and tools (CYME, EMS).
• Collaborate closely with the system study engineer and project scheduler to guarantee the precision of the long-term shutdown schedule.
• Coordinate and facilitate huddle and shutdown schedule review sessions.
• Organize and lead cross-functional team meetings, particularly for complex and consecutive shutdowns in the same regions.
• Advocate for continuous improvement (CI) initiatives aimed at optimizing shutdowns and coordinating resources.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in electric utility transmission and substation planning.
• System proficiency with CYME, EMS, and TARA/PSSE, or ADMS.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in maintaining State Estimator technical applications.
• Knowledge of Energy Management System (EMS), including State Estimator (SE), Contingency Analysis (CA), and N-1 conditions operating practices.
• Familiarity with PSSE or TARA applications.
• Capability to provide operational insights to enhance EMS system models based on real-time data.
