Senior Engineer – Nuclear Power Engineer, Steam Turbines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide support for steam turbine engineering initiatives related to nuclear power plants.

• Act as a subject matter expert and resource for the company in nuclear steam turbine consulting projects.

• Prepare for client meetings and lead discussions effectively.

• Utilize technical expertise in turbine and generator engineering to manage projects independently.

• Mentor junior team members and promote technical excellence within the team.

• Assist management in identifying business opportunities, organizing conferences, and conducting training sessions.

• Collaborate with industry organizations.

• Conduct site visits, client meetings, and travel for conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering.

• Over 10 years of proven experience in power generation engineering with OEMs and/or utilities.

• More than 5 years in similar roles within the nuclear industry: Turbine Engineer, Design Engineer, Equipment/Plant Subject Matter Expert, Senior Reactor Operator.

• Proficient in relevant engineering, calculations, assessments, and analyses.

• Willingness to travel as necessary to support projects and business development efforts.

• Travel requirements of 10–15%.

• Professional Engineering licensure and an advanced degree are preferred.

• Certification in vibration analysis is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Site Turbine Engineer is preferred.

• Familiarity with nuclear plant administrative processes is preferred.

• Knowledge of nuclear modification and design processes is preferred.

• Experience in turbine design, including valves, rotors, blading, and stationaries is preferred.

• Turbine operating experience is preferred.

• TapRooT root cause analysis qualification is preferred.

• SRO certification is preferred.
