This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable security applications, integrations, and automation frameworks for MDR services.
• Spearhead intricate engineering projects from initial design to final deployment.
• Recognize repetitive processes, operational bottlenecks, and manual tasks, innovating automation solutions to minimize toil and enhance response times.
• Create and uphold scripts, APIs, and tooling utilizing Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, and associated technologies.
• Engineer and implement software, security tools, and automation solutions across enterprise settings.
• Encourage innovation, continuous learning, and skill advancement within the engineering team.
• Uphold engineering operational procedures and best practices.
• Maintain positive professional relationships with insurers and carriers.
• Convey complex engineering concepts clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of emerging engineering technologies and industry best practices.
• Provide expert advice on engineering methodologies, automation techniques, and software development practices.
• Occasionally assist in complex digital forensic investigations, analyzing system logs, network traffic, and endpoint data.
• Contribute to both short-term and long-term organizational strategies.
• Write or significantly contribute to technical reports and documentation.
• Conduct peer reviews of complex code to ensure adherence to organizational architectural standards.
• Innovate methods to enhance financial performance.
• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
• Travel regularly, up to 50% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in security engineering teams, focusing on the development of security automation and/or SOAR capabilities that support incident response, detection engineering, EDR platform support, or vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in building robust applications using Python and strong scripting skills in Bash and PowerShell.
• Demonstrated success in executing complex engineering projects.
• Experience in deploying and managing Endpoint Detection and Response tools such as CrowdStrike, Sophos, or SentinelOne.
• Capability to architect, develop, and implement automated threat hunts across an enterprise environment.
• Expertise in advanced detection engineering and tuning signals across various data sources.
• Background in automating repetitive security and IT tasks.
• Programming experience in Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Go.
• Proven experience deploying software and scripts across diverse IT environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, or other MDM solutions.
• Understanding of cloud platforms and security implications within AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts effectively.
• At least two years of experience leading active cybersecurity engagements, focusing on the development of security automation and/or SOAR capabilities related to incident response, digital forensics, malware analysis, or threat intelligence.
• Advanced degrees or security/cloud certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCFE, GCFA, GREM, GBFA, GCIH, CFCE, CCE, AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CCNA, or MCSE are advantageous.
• Experience with Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, or AG Grid is a plus.
• Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the USA.
• Willingness to travel regularly, up to 50% of the time.
