Senior Engineer, Fullstack - Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the frontend architecture and technical strategy for the self-service onboarding and platform experience.

• Allocate roughly 80% of hands-on coding efforts to frontend development and 20% to backend, adjusting as priorities shift.

• Collaborate with Design to transform onboarding and platform experiences from idea to implementation.

• Guide engineers and elevate the standards of frontend engineering.

• Set frontend conventions and quality benchmarks, including conducting architecture reviews, ensuring code quality, and defining testing methodologies.

• Contribute to the Python backend to facilitate frontend tasks or deliver comprehensive features.

• Influence the development and operational approach of the newly established Growth team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong and demonstrated proficiency in frontend development.

• Experience in architecting and building sophisticated frontend applications in a production environment.

• Comfortable being the lead frontend authority and willing to challenge design or product decisions when necessary.

• Some experience in backend development.

• Genuine interest in working within a Python codebase.

• Experience in mentoring fellow engineers.

• Familiarity with building or integrating payment products is desirable but not mandatory.

• Experience with growth, onboarding, or activation-centric product surfaces is a plus but not essential.

• Must reside in Portugal, Hungary, Poland, Romania, or South Africa.

• Must possess working rights in the country of residence.
