Senior Engineer – Energy Parks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyzes and comprehends the electrical scope of projects that are currently in the RFP/estimating phase.

• Formulates a plan/design that integrates power quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and lessons learned from Blattner Energy into each proposal.

• Assists in the design, development, and implementation of large-scale Energy Parks and integrated energy campus initiatives.

• Offers technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, controls, and utility infrastructure systems.

• Evaluates engineering designs, specifications, studies, and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.

• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions for complex energy infrastructure challenges.

• Leads a team responsible for producing design drawings and documents for the Estimators and Supply Chain to facilitate bidding.

• Verifies that takeoffs are thorough and precise.

• Works closely with other Senior Engineers to establish resource plans and design schedules for project designs.

• Conducts drawing reviews of design packages from third-party engineering firms to ensure compliance with industry and Blattner’s standards and best practices.

• Guarantees that designs promote safe work practices and adhere to all relevant safety standards, including NESC, NEC, and NFPA.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited institution is mandatory.

• A minimum of five years of progressive experience in engineering, engineering supervision, and/or construction/field roles within a relevant industry (such as heavy civil, industrial, utilities, or power generation) is required.
