This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the design and development of intricate substation protection plans and automation systems.
• Conduct advanced power system evaluations, relay coordination analyses, and establish protection settings.
• Act as the technical authority on various simultaneous projects.
• Guide and provide technical leadership to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Directly communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors to address technical challenges.
• Spearhead commissioning activities for new facilities and manage the resolution of complex system problems.
• Review and authorize engineering documents, drawings, and calculations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is necessary.
• PE in Texas and/or Oklahoma is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in electric utility or power engineering.
• Proven leadership in the design, analysis, and commissioning of protection systems.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, protection systems, and industry standards.
• Advanced skills in CAD and electrical modeling software.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and client interaction abilities.
• Capability to manage highly complex projects with minimal oversight.
