Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the architecture for distributed, cloud-native systems from start to finish, encompassing infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK) all the way to production operations.

• Create Architecture Decision Records that set standards which endure beyond individual projects, converting ambiguous business requirements into well-defined, executable technical plans while ensuring alignment among product and engineering stakeholders.

• Elevate the technical capabilities of the team through code reviews, design evaluations, and mentorship, committing to the professional development of the engineers around you as much as the systems you create.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English at a C1 level or above.

• Significant years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.

• Extensive programming expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Experience in leading the design or architecture (including design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of both new and existing systems.

• Several years of experience in developing cloud-native applications and platforms utilizing Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, AWS Bedrock, SQS, SNS, and ECS, with the capability to make architectural decisions regarding cost, performance, and scalability.

• Experience with or a strong interest in generative AI.

• Background as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.

• Proven experience in guiding the design, construction, and deployment of complex, high-performance (reliable and scalable) software solutions in a production environment.

• Nice to Have

• Familiarity with the full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operational aspects.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CDK.

• Experience working with AI tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.

• Experience in building or integrating AI agents using orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
