This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver technical outputs for the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Provide oversight for the commissioning of high-voltage substations, switchyards, and transmission systems.
• Assist in the negotiation and execution of interconnection agreements (LGIA).
• Prepare RFQ/RFP packages for EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Transmission, Interconnection, Procurement, and Development.
• Maintain an on-site presence at various projects nationwide, requiring approximately 30% travel.
• Engage with stakeholders in discussions regarding ERCOT, MISO, SPP, and PJM queue reform and large load policy.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a preference for Power Engineering.
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in project engineering, EPC, construction management, or commissioning within the power sector.
• Practical experience with high-voltage utility substations, switchyards, and transmission systems.
• Strong grasp of battery energy storage principles and their value proposition.
• Knowledge of ISO/RTO commissioning compliance and the structures of LGIA/PPA.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project, and SharePoint.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% to project sites.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools to enhance engineering productivity.
