Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical engagements from start to finish

• Develop and deploy production code using Python, TypeScript, and Node

• Design solutions that successfully meet customer Infosec and ARB review criteria

• Facilitate dynamic customer hackathons

• Create and sustain reusable technical resources

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects

• Advocate for Twilio within the B2B builder communities

• Leverage your software engineering knowledge

• Work in close coordination with the Demo Platform Engineering and Enterprise Architect teams

• Consolidate field insights derived from production deployments

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical software engineering experience

• Proven history of delivering production code (Python, TypeScript, Node) in real-world applications

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles: API design, system architecture, testing, debugging, version control workflows, and CI/CD

• Proven experience in managing end-to-end technical engagements

• Excellent communication abilities and executive presence

• In-depth knowledge of Twilio’s products and services

• Capacity to influence cross-functional stakeholders

• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities

• Previous experience in forward-deployed engineering or technical presales/solution engineering is preferred
