Senior Energy Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Inspire and guide facility and plant teams to embrace Strategic Energy Management (SEM) practices and maintain energy savings.

• Implement Strategic Energy Management initiatives in accordance with the CA SEM Design Guide.

• Facilitate workshops, provide one-on-one coaching, establish energy-use baselines and tracking, and create site improvement strategies.

• Oversee multiple ongoing projects and participant companies, ensuring adherence to schedules, milestones, and savings objectives.

• Address issues proactively and escalated as necessary.

• Conduct training sessions, perform onsite energy audits, and lead site walk-throughs.

• Evaluate system and process efficiency using monitoring tools, utility information, and statistical analysis.

• Prepare reports and recommendations tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Cultivate client trust and illustrate the benefits of SEM.

• Guide junior coaches and enhance SEM tools and resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of pertinent experience in energy efficiency, facilities management, or industrial operations.

• Familiarity with energy systems in large commercial and/or industrial environments.

• Demonstrated project management capabilities, including handling multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and facilitation abilities.

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Residency in California, Arizona, or Oregon is required, with a strong preference for candidates located in the greater Los Angeles area.

• Must possess authorization to work in the country where the position is based without employer sponsorship or support.

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening is necessary.

• If applicable, must fulfill all DOT qualification standards and adhere to relevant transportation regulations.
