This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as a fractional On-Site Energy Manager for one or more of Environ’s clients.
• Execute ASHRAE Level I & II energy audits, which include data collection, site inspections, and energy analysis.
• Identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) and assess potential savings.
• Create comprehensive energy assessment reports that include actionable recommendations.
• Assist in formulating turnkey energy efficiency projects, ranging from feasibility analysis to implementation.
• Conduct technical and financial evaluations of ECMs, including ROI and payback calculations.
• Aid in the preparation of project proposals, encompassing scope of work, cost estimates, and savings projections.
• Act as a technical specialist in energy efficiency and engineering consulting projects.
• Present findings, recommendations, and implementation plans to clients.
• Offer ongoing support and advisory services to help clients meet their annual energy efficiency objectives.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, including ASHRAE, local building energy codes, and utility incentive programs.
• Remain informed about energy efficiency regulations, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Perform on-site assessments at client facilities, including mechanical system evaluations and data logging.
• Travel is necessary to support client engagements, site visits, and project execution.
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline is essential.
• A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation is highly preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a Professional Engineering (PE) License or the capability to obtain one.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting energy/decarbonization audits, energy modeling, or the development of energy efficiency projects.
• Experience in the role of energy manager for commercial facilities, with a preference for candidates who have experience in hospitals and healthcare settings.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation controls, and energy management strategies.
• Experience in turnkey project development, including vendor coordination and contractor management.
• Knowledge of utility incentive programs and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for client engagements and site assessments.
