
Senior Energy Consultant – Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee intricate projects or tasks that may encompass: statistical analyses, examination of fuel and utility expenses, estimation of energy efficiency savings and costs, measure engineering analysis, program benefit-cost analysis, program development and planning, evaluation analysis, market research, survey design, and secondary research.
• Direct and/or independently conduct a diverse array of highly complex, energy-related analyses.
• Autonomously manage assigned tasks, analyses, and projects to ensure client satisfaction.
• Create project deliverables such as written memos, reports, and presentations, while overseeing the QA/QC process on these deliverables to meet client expectations.
• Effectively communicate analytical methods and results to clients in a clear manner.
• Conduct QA/QC on complex analyses performed by others to guarantee deliverables are of high quality, logical, and devoid of errors.
• Authorize technical decisions concerning intricate research, planning, and data analysis.
• Establish and sustain relationships with clients to enhance productivity and foster future opportunities.
• Formulate and implement analysis plans for complex tasks and/or projects.
• Cultivate and exhibit expertise in a selected practice area by remaining at the cutting edge of the industry regarding methods and innovations.
• Mentor and support junior staff in analysis and project initiatives.
• Assist in business development and/or proposal efforts.
• BA/BS in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Economics, Public Policy, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in consulting within the energy or utilities sector, managing complex, analytics-driven projects that evaluate energy usage, efficiency, or demand response programs, or similar experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including R, Stata, SQL, SAS, or Python.
• MA/MS in a relevant field is preferred.
• Additional certifications may be advantageous, such as CEM or IPMVP.
• 10 or more years of experience in the energy industry.
• Active membership in one or more industry groups or associations is preferred.
