Senior Employee Relations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee comprehensive and confidential employee relations investigations, addressing allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace misconduct, and breaches of policy.

β€’ Conduct interviews, collect and analyze evidence, and create detailed documentation and recommendations, collaborating with Legal and People leadership on sensitive or high-risk issues.

β€’ Act as a subject matter expert in performance management, working alongside leaders and People Advisors to enhance performance outcomes through coaching, establishing clear expectations, providing timely feedback, and implementing suitable support plans.

β€’ Offer consultation and assistance for high-risk terminations, including those linked to leaves of absence, accommodations, protected activities, investigations, and other delicate situations, while also supporting standard involuntary terminations by ensuring consistency, adequate documentation, and adherence to policies and best practices.

β€’ Collaborate closely with Leave of Absence and Accommodations teams to facilitate employee relations matters that overlap with leaves, restrictions, or workplace accommodations.

β€’ Aid in the creation and delivery of employee relations training for People Advisors and leaders, covering performance documentation, corrective actions, investigations, conflict resolution, and maintaining respectful workplace standards.

β€’ Utilize employee relations case management dashboards and reporting tools to identify significant trends, themes, and emerging risk areas within employee relations activities, presenting insights to internal stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A bachelor’s degree, a commitment to obtain a bachelor’s degree within three (3) years, or equivalent experience is mandatory.

β€’ At least five (5) years of professional experience in employee relations is required.

β€’ Proven expertise in both the design and implementation of employee relations initiatives.

β€’ Demonstrated capability to lead initiatives that include successful change management.

β€’ Superior interpersonal and collaborative skills across various stakeholders and contexts.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.

β€’ Experience in leading multi-disciplinary project or process improvement teams.

β€’ Ability to engage with a data-driven organization, utilizing reports and data to inform and execute projects.
