
Senior Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You will take charge of the software stack development for Ethernovia’s Networking devices, which encompasses Embedded Firmware, both kernel and user mode device drivers, stack extensions, debugging, testing utilities, and automated unit/system testing.
• The drivers will be integrated with the Communication Stack of both Linux and AUTOSAR frameworks.
• These device drivers will enable the User application, Middleware, and Operating System to fully leverage the advanced features of the hardware.
• The firmware will configure, control, and monitor the communication device while interacting with the host system through device drivers to showcase the hardware capabilities.
• You will oversee the architecture, design, implementation, testing, and integration of the device drivers incorporated into Ethernovia’s SDK. These drivers are developed from the ground up for safety-critical automotive applications.
• Every team member is expected to embrace a culture of safety and adhere to best development practices.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 6 years.
• Strong comprehension of the Software Development lifecycle, including the fundamentals of Architecture, Implementation, and Testing.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages; experience with Python is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Software Device Drivers, preferably for communication devices such as Ethernet.
• In-depth knowledge of Operating Systems, Kernel, and Platform/Device drivers, particularly for Linux Operating System, QNX, or Real-Time Operating Systems.
• Experience in integration and testing with Operating System Device Driver Interfaces.
• Practical experience with Hardware, ideally communication devices.
• For the Firmware role:
• Experience in Firmware, particularly for communication devices such as Ethernet.
• Proficient in the integration and testing of firmware and low-level code.
• Practical experience with Hardware and embedded processors, particularly for communication devices.
• Expertise in efficient coding practices regarding code footprint and performance.
