Senior Embedded Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Summarize and integrate fundamental functions into reusable libraries and frameworks.

• Extract current functionalities from application code and refactor them for shared utilization.

• Design and implement an I/O framework that supports various protocols and data interfaces.

• Define and uphold data dictionaries along with I/O level specifications.

• Collaborate with system architects to guarantee the integrity of ARINC-653 partitioning.

• Assist in certification activities by providing HLR/LLR documentation and ensuring DAL compliance.

• Contribute to the long-term vision for a scalable and maintainable software infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in embedded software development and/or testing.

• Demonstrated proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design for embedded systems.

• Familiarity with I/O architecture, protocol management, and data handling.

• Experience in developing certifiable software, with DO-178 DAL A being preferred.

• Skilled in HLR/LLR generation, review, and ensuring traceability.

• Quick to learn, with a strong sense of initiative and motivation.
