Senior Embedded Linux OS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the support for Home Assistant OS on Nabu Casa hardware platforms.

• Work in close collaboration with the Hardware Team and contributors to Home Assistant OS.

• Assist with the board bring-up processes for new hardware products.

• Improve the performance and reliability of the operating system across various devices.

• Create documentation detailing platform architecture and any known limitations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with embedded Linux systems.

• Profound knowledge of Linux operating systems.

• Familiarity with bootloaders and management of embedded device lifecycles.

• Ability to navigate both hardware and software domains comfortably.

• Proficient in reading and writing C/C++ for lower-level or driver-related tasks.

• Strong skills in Python for automation purposes.

• Awareness of security hardening techniques.
