Senior Embedded Crypto Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Define and implement cutting-edge cryptographic algorithms, including Post-Quantum Cryptography, along with secure software based on functional specifications.

• Create and define software countermeasures against physical attacks such as Side-Channel Analysis and Fault Injection.

• Execute the implementation of the designed software countermeasures.

• Work collaboratively with security architects and internal evaluation teams to enhance software countermeasures.

• Take ownership of technical topics within cryptographic fields through design, implementation, code reviews, architectural contributions, and technical planning.

• Partner with OS and firmware teams to guarantee seamless and secure integration of cryptographic software into final products.

• Collaborate with test and platform support engineers to maximize product quality.

• Assist in product certification activities and security evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in mathematics, cryptography, computer science, electronic/electrical engineering, information technology, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of relevant industry experience in cryptography and embedded security, or an equivalent combination of advanced degree and pertinent experience.

• Profound understanding and practical experience with cryptographic primitives, including ECC, RSA, AES, SHA-2/SHA-3.

• Extensive experience in embedded software development using C and Assembly languages.

• Solid knowledge of microcontroller architectures, such as ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V.

• Familiarity with hardware and software countermeasures against side-channel and fault-injection attacks.

• Experience in Post-Quantum Cryptography is a plus.

• Proficiency in Rust is an advantage.

• Excellent debugging and analytical skills.

• A proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership and a proven track record of delivering results.
