
Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Center Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Oversee the technical coordination of the electrical package during project execution.
• Facilitate client meetings and manage all communications related to electrical engineering.
• Handle technical submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), and design reviews.
• Coordinate the interfaces between electrical, mechanical, and CSA systems to guarantee smooth installation.
• Develop and evaluate commissioning documentation for electrical systems.
• Create and assess method statements and risk assessments.
• Track installation progress to ensure that the work adheres to the schedule.
• Assist with cost management, change control, and assessments of variations.
• Propel the completion of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and handover documentation.
• Provide support and mentorship to Electrical Engineers and Package Managers.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering electrical packages for large-scale construction projects, such as data centers, pharmaceutical facilities, industrial sites, or other mission-critical developments.
• In-depth understanding of electrical commissioning, technical submittals, and RFI management.
• Familiarity with electrical power distribution systems, standby generation, UPS systems, lighting, earthing, and life safety systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects while upholding high standards of quality and compliance.
• Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and dedication to professional standards.
• Experience in data center projects (desirable).
• Knowledge of commissioning processes for electrical building services (desirable).
• Background in coordinating multidisciplinary teams (desirable).
• Understanding of BIM coordination and digital construction platforms (desirable).
• Strong commercial awareness (desirable).
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership (desirable).
• Leadership or mentoring experience within project or compliance teams (desirable).
• Experience in pharmaceutical, cleanroom, or highly regulated environments (desirable).
• Knowledge of LEED, energy-efficient design, or sustainable building standards (desirable).
• Experience with mission-critical electrical infrastructure, including MV/LV distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical power systems (desirable).
