This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design systems for nuclear power plants.

• Create or assess modification packages for existing nuclear power plants.

• Develop or evaluate functional mechanical drawings and designs for nuclear power plant systems.

• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and the operation of plant systems.

• Generate technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.

• Carry out vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment.

• Execute studies and options evaluations for modifications to operational nuclear power plants.

• Create engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes.

• Visit client offices and/or plant sites to engage with clients and present updates on engineering tasks and statuses.

• Lead engineering project teams.

• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews, as well as to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear power sector.

• Familiarity with codes, standards, and regulations relevant to mechanical engineering design for nuclear power plants.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Ability to travel periodically to client sites or S&L offices, especially during significant project or plant outage periods.
