This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Provide assistance to the Federal Aviation Administration through the National Airspace Systems Integration Support program.

β€’ Design and plan electrical systems for FAA facilities and structures, encompassing power distribution and backup systems.

β€’ Create, review, and manage project engineering documentation, including AutoCAD drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

β€’ Perform on-site surveys and produce detailed, scaled designs and reports.

β€’ Collaborate with engineering personnel to address design or implementation challenges and evaluate contractor submissions.

β€’ Oversee project management responsibilities, such as safety plans, communication, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders and contractors.

β€’ Monitor and update the progress of projects.

β€’ Review risk management documentation.

β€’ Manage on-site cutovers and testing operations.

β€’ Support electrical engineering design, planning, cost estimating, scheduling, coordination, contracting, installation, inspection, and acceptance of electrical systems/services for FAA En Route programs and projects.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university, along with four years of relevant experience in commercial, industrial, or government facility replacement and modernization design engineering, OR two years of relevant experience with a Master's degree.

β€’ An additional four years of relevant experience may be considered in place of a degree.

β€’ Capability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability.

β€’ To qualify for the FAA Public Trust, must be a US Citizen or a Green Card Holder who has lived in the US for the past three years.

β€’ Registered Professional Engineer in good standing in the United States (preferred).

β€’ Previous experience with the FAA (preferred).

β€’ Candidates should be based in the eastern part of the US.

β€’ Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
