This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Strategize, design, execute, and maintain server systems, encompassing Windows OS and server hardware, Linux OS, IBM i OS and hardware, virtualization, and Active Directory.
• Act as a point of escalation for advanced operational support and troubleshooting within server and compute environments.
• Assume full responsibility for server-related projects from inception to completion.
• Diagnose and resolve server issues and outages via ServiceNow requests.
• Engage and communicate with stakeholders regarding escalation activities.
• Anticipate infrastructure requirements for a timeframe of 6 months to 2 years and initiate RPF or RFI processes accordingly.
• Acquire knowledge and embrace cloud technologies, continuous integration, automation, and practices aimed at process enhancement.
• Oversee and evaluate the database ecosystem and its capacity.
• Organize collaborative activities across database, application, and infrastructure teams.
• Implement ITIL processes for ticket resolution and stakeholder communication.
• Design, deploy, and manage complex solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and convert business requirements into technical specifications.
• Contribute to the progression of the strategic roadmap.
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders in solution design and development.
• Foster relationships with networking, identity management, storage and backup teams, as well as application leaders.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field or a related discipline.
• Skills in monitoring, troubleshooting, customer service, problem-solving, cross-team collaboration, risk analysis, analytical abilities, operating systems, hardware, infrastructure design, and scripting.
• Proficient communication, time management, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, mentoring, project management, business acumen, requirements gathering, and planning skills.
• Preferred qualification: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related area.
