Senior Electrical Designer 2 – Nuclear Power

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• This role offers the flexibility of a remote work schedule.

• Participate in a project team setting focused on the design, modification, and/or enhancement of both new and existing electrical systems in power plants.

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and design project teams under the guidance of the Electrical Project Lead.

• Create single-line diagrams, relay and metering diagrams, AC and DC schematic diagrams, synchronizing diagrams, point-to-point wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.

• Generate electrical wiring drawings and integrate vendor drawings into the overall project design.

• Support field walkdowns and data collection at client facilities.

• Must be eligible for unescorted access to a nuclear station.

⛳️ Requirements

• An Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.

• Over 10 years of extensive wiring design experience, particularly in creating single-line and relay and metering diagrams, including medium-voltage and 480V systems.

• Knowledge of digital control systems.

• Ability to:

• Create wiring diagrams and schematics for installers and electricians.

• Assist engineers with initial design requirements.

• Conceptualize plans and details to clearly convey wiring termination specifications.

• Have extensive AutoCAD and/or Microstation design experience on power plants or large facility projects.

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of drafting and design practices and principles.

• Effectively interface and communicate with engineering and design teams across different disciplines in the power plant design process.
