Senior Electrical Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and evaluate electrical design packages that include power distribution, switchgear, generators, UPS, and busway.

• Ensure that electrical designs adhere to capacity, redundancy, and code requirements across various sites.

• Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and commissioning teams for integrated system design.

• Assist in constructibility reviews and resolve RFIs during construction and site selection.

• Serve as the electrical subject-matter expert during client and tenant design reviews as well as technical due diligence sessions.

• Communicate design decisions in a manner that non-engineering clients can easily understand and act upon.

• Provide mentorship to junior electrical engineers on the design team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in electrical design engineering for mission-critical or data center facilities.

• PE license is preferred.

• Solid understanding of medium/low-voltage distribution and backup power systems.

• Experience with busway, RPP, and high-density rack power distribution is advantageous.

• Comfortable presenting design rationale directly to clients and tenants.

• Able to work on multiple concurrent site designs effectively.

• Experience in reviewing electrical distribution and ensuring designs comply with industry standards.

• Must reside in the United States.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Must indicate whether employment visa sponsorship is needed.
