This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and implement electrical systems for new data center construction projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Create electrical engineering specifications, technical drawings, and construction documentation, including schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Assess and select electrical equipment and components, ensuring they meet project requirements and deliver optimal performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses to evaluate the viability and efficiency of electrical systems, recommending enhancements and upgrades when necessary.
• Provide technical assistance during the construction phase by reviewing contractor submissions, addressing RFIs, and performing site visits to ensure adherence to design specifications and electrical codes.
• Execute electrical load calculations, power distribution analyses, and fault current calculations to guarantee proper equipment sizing and system reliability.
• Work alongside architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems into the overall project framework.
• Engage in commissioning activities, conducting electrical system tests, troubleshooting problems, and confirming proper functionality and performance.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to electrical systems, applying this knowledge to enhance design and implementation processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the design and management of electrical systems for data center new constructions and infrastructure fit-out projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and practices.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, Revit).
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, including medium voltage, low voltage, and emergency backup systems.
• Experience with lighting design, power distribution, and fire alarm systems for infrastructure fit-out projects.
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulations, such as NFPA, NEC, and local codes.
• Excellent project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver projects punctually.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.
