This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
β’ Lead the implementation of EHS initiatives across Unity's AMER offices by crafting and executing EHS policies, programs, and processes.
β’ Enhance global EHS performance tracking by establishing baselines, leading and lagging indicators, targets, trends, and scorecards for AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions.
β’ Oversee the global EHS data framework and determine data flows within EHS platforms.
β’ Conduct regular data-quality audits across all three regions.
β’ Serve as the platform administrator and power user for the EHS function.
β’ Monitor changes in AMER EHS legislation and convert them into Unity standards, training modules, and a compliance calendar.
β’ Perform risk assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to address compliance deficiencies.
β’ Act as the primary technical advisor for health and safety in the region.
β’ Manage relationships with AMER EHS vendors, including KPIs, performance assessments, and work certification in line with contractual obligations.
β’ Report directly to the Senior Manager, Global EHS & Corporate Sustainability.
β’ Demonstrated experience in leading or implementing Environment, Health & Safety programs, processes, policies, operations, or related engineering functions on a global scale.
β’ Certification in Occupational Health and Safety, such as IOSH, NFPA, NEBOSH IGC1, IGC2, GC3, and OHSAS 18001 is highly preferred.
β’ Understanding of AMER EHS legal requirements, including regulations, codes, standards, directives, and administrative policies.
β’ Familiarity with EHS management systems such as OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, or other accredited EHS management frameworks.
β’ Knowledge of EHS risk assessment techniques.
β’ Proven ability to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
β’ Capability to work autonomously and follow directives from organizational leadership when necessary.
β’ Organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to executing both short-term and long-term work plans.
β’ Proficient in software applications for developing educational materials and associated graphics.
β’ Experience in the tech sector and adaptability to new software systems may be beneficial.
β’ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Adequate command of English for professional verbal and written communication.
