Senior EHR Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as the main escalation point for intricate technical challenges and system malfunctions.

• Deliver daily technical assistance to EHR end-users.

• Mentor junior analysts and enhance team capabilities.

• Oversee routine maintenance, software updates, patches, and upgrades.

• Facilitate testing and validation for system modifications and enhancements.

• Engage in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support for complex issues.

• Spearhead EHR system optimization initiatives and perform workflow assessments.

• Create optimization requests through governance and change management processes.

• Utilize cross-application integration expertise to ensure seamless system performance.

• Manage work streams during EHR implementations, upgrades, and initiatives.

• Organize tasks, monitor progress, and communicate project updates.

• Handle EHR vendor support requests and review release notes.

• Collaborate with IT, clinicians, administrators, and vendors.

• Maintain documentation for system configuration, processes, and procedures.

• Foster knowledge-sharing practices.

• Train and guide junior analysts and end-users.

• Manage PHI in line with HIPAA and organizational privacy and security policies.

• Complete compliance training and exemplify information security best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience as an EHR Application Analyst, Health IT Analyst, Epic Analyst, or in a similar healthcare information systems role.

• Current Epic Certification.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within teams.

• Proficiency in solving complex issues and translating customer requirements into system solutions.

• In-depth understanding of healthcare business processes, workflows, and terminology.

• Knowledge of cross-application integration.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 or equivalent productivity applications.
