This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee PCB designs from initial concept to manufacturing stage.
• Generate PCB, CCA, and schematic drawings for suppliers.
• Conduct schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and create Gerber/ODB++ files.
• Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and BluePrint-PCB for design documentation.
• Design assemblies that are Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex.
• Execute complete designs, perform re-spins, update drawings, manage change notices, implement copper changes, and work on process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate daily with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering teams.
• Ensure that all design requirements are met while factoring in cost, cycle time, and manufacturability.
• Travel to El Segundo, CA approximately three times annually.
• Generally requires a University Degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Familiarity with at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles affecting circuitry and component layout; electrical design processes; layout of Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards.
• Capability to obtain and retain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• An active and existing DoD Confidential security clearance is required from day one.
• Preferred: practical knowledge of Analog, Digital (including DDR), RF, Power, mixed technology, multi-layer, and HDI designs.
• Preferred: proficiency with the Siemens Xpedition toolset, schematic capture, placement, routing, auto-router, constraint manager, library tools, and BluePrint.
• Preferred: experience with Gerber and ODB++ formats.
• Preferred: knowledge of Valor NPI and Design for Manufacturing guidelines.
• Preferred: familiarity with IPC 6012 and IPC 6013 standards.
• Preferred: understanding of military and commercial design standards, GD&T, and electronic packaging manufacturability.
• Preferred: knowledge of RF circuitry and filters.
• Preferred: understanding of Microsoft Windows operating system concepts and network services.
