This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop PCB designs from initial concept to manufacturing.
• Create PCB, CCA, and schematic drawings for vendors.
• Conduct schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and generate Gerber/ODB++ files.
• Utilize Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and BluePrint-PCB for drawing creation.
• Design rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies.
• Manage complete designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper alterations, and process enhancement projects.
• Collaborate daily with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering teams.
• Gather overall design requirements while taking into account cost, cycle time, and manufacturability.
• Travel to El Segundo, California approximately three times annually.
• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles impacting circuitry and component layout; electrical design processes; laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards.
• Capability to obtain and retain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• An active and existing DoD Confidential security clearance is required from day one.
• Familiarity with Analog, Digital including DDR, RF, Power, mixed technology, multilayer designs, and HDI technology.
• Proficient with Siemens design tools, including Xpedition Layout and BluePrint-PCB.
• Knowledge of Gerber and ODB++ formats.
• Understanding of Valor NPI and Design for Manufacturing rule sets.
• Experience with PCB/CCA drawings and GD&T techniques.
• Knowledge of IPC 6012 and IPC 6013 standards.
• Familiar with military and commercial design standards.
• Understanding of RF circuitry and filter principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating system concepts and network services.
