This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the strategic and operational effectiveness of SERB’s Rare Emergency Medicine and Rare Oncology sectors throughout the eastern United States.
• Enhance regional access performance across Integrated Delivery Networks by guiding, mentoring, and developing a team of approximately five Directors of Strategic Accounts.
• Maintain regular communication with the East DSA team, executive leadership, and cross-functional partners.
• Propel portfolio performance and achieve regional Access KPIs.
• Evaluate brand performance trends, pinpoint opportunities and risks, and execute appropriate solutions.
• Engage in annual Brand Planning for Strategic Accounts.
• Foster collaborative relationships with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Development, MSLs, and leadership in Value Access and Trade.
• Attract, nurture, mentor, and retain a high-performing DSA team.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching, feedback, development, and management of performance.
• Develop succession plans, career advancement strategies, and a proactive talent pipeline.
• Convert national Access strategy into actionable business plans for targeted IDNs.
• Optimize regional resources, customer engagement strategies, and business priorities.
• Assist C-Suite and Pharmacy leadership partnerships within targeted IDNs.
• Facilitate discussions on reimbursement related to coding, payment information, NTAP, and Outlier Payment.
• Contribute to quarterly access-focused system-level business reviews with IDN clients.
• Aid DSAs in navigating complex IDN environments and influencing Healthcare Decision Makers.
• Steer the execution of access levers such as consignment, replacement, Budget Impact Models, value propositions, contracting, reimbursement, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote a One SERB approach and encourage cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Development, Value Access and Trade, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Commercial Operations.
• Direct regional readiness and execution for product launches, lifecycle management, and portfolio growth.
• Travel 65% across large multi-state regions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in sciences or business is required; an MBA or MPH is preferred.
• At least 5 years of National/Regional IDN acute care Access experience in a direct Access capacity; sales roles are excluded.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
• A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Access field management, focusing on building and leading high-performing teams.
• Proven success in driving Access-specific business outcomes in acute care IDN markets.
• Experience in commercializing injectable pharmaceutical products within IDN/hospital environments.
• Preferred experience in emergency medicine, cardiovascular, critical care, oncology, rare disease, or specialty pharmaceutical markets.
• Experience leading teams through in-line brand optimization and launch readiness initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of specialty and acute care, P&T and Formulary processes, and DRG reimbursement.
• Proven ability to promote and drive access for a multiple-product portfolio in hospital settings.
• Demonstrated success in leading project management teams within an IDN system.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Dynamic leadership skills that promote trust and empowerment.
• Experience in growth-stage, emerging, or entrepreneurial pharmaceutical organizations.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical abilities, and critical-thinking skills.
• Willingness to travel 65% across large multi-state regions.
