This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Engage in practical training for the Executive Director position while enhancing your skills in managerial tasks.
• Prepare to take on the role of Executive Director within a Brookdale community, focusing on people management, operations oversight, and clinical governance.
• Oversee all community operations and act as the primary contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
• Lead, guide, and inspire community staff; provide direct resident care when necessary and address staffing shortages.
• Ensure resident satisfaction and retention; take proactive steps to resolve issues and conduct the annual resident satisfaction survey.
• Implement the renewal program for current residents.
• Manage annual operating and capital budgets alongside regional operations; oversee variances, occupancy targets, revenue growth, and cost reduction.
• Recruit, train, discipline, and terminate staff in accordance with company policies.
• Supervise preventative maintenance systems, property inspections, building grounds, and property standards.
• Uphold departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in alignment with company, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Encourage staff creativity and participate as a member of the Resident Council.
• Build and maintain a positive image within the local community and represent the community to governmental, professional, civic, and community organizations.
• Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to optimize occupancy.
• Assist in reviewing service plans involving resident care teams and families.
• Oversee resident admissions, healthcare management, and resident documentation to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of two to four years of relevant leadership experience is necessary; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid administrator license is required in applicable states.
• A valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle available for business use are necessary.
• Knowledge of the organization, industry, and relevant functional areas is essential.
• In-depth understanding of technical aspects acquired through experience is important.
• Familiarity with Microsoft software is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently manage multiple responsibilities.
• Capability to delegate tasks effectively.
• Good judgment with robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends, evenings, or nights as required.
• Availability to be on-call as necessary.
