Senior Director, Software Engineering – Finance Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee, manage, and expand several teams of software engineers with a focus on product development.

• Provide mentorship and support for the professional and technical growth of engineers.

• Collaborate with product managers to grasp the desired functionalities of applications and relevant testing scenarios.

• Persistently enhance software engineering methodologies.

• Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions utilizing a full-stack development toolkit and technologies within Agile teams.

• Drive the quality, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions.

• Stay abreast of technology trends, experiment with new technologies, engage in internal and external technology communities, and mentor other engineering community members.

• Foster innovation, the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, inclusivity, creative thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity.

• Enhance the productivity of your team and other teams.

• Spearhead initiatives to deploy new and existing applications within AWS environments.

• Deconstruct existing monolithic applications into microservice architectures and develop new microservices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Minimum of 9 years of experience in software engineering.

• At least 7 years of experience in managing people.

• Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

• Preferred: Over 13 years of experience in software engineering.

• Preferred: More than 8 years of experience in Agile methodologies.

• Proven experience using AI to enhance productivity and automate manual business processes.

• Experience in building or scaling high-throughput transaction matching engines, event-driven streaming architectures, and financial ledgers/ERP integrations such as Workday or PeopleSoft.
