This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take ownership of the comprehensive logistics strategy for AP Reading, encompassing footprint planning, multi-year site planning, hotel and transportation frameworks, convention center coordination, equipment readiness, and onsite service models.
β’ Convert business needs into vendor and site plans that align with the scale, complexity, and timing of the Reading.
β’ Collaborate with sourcing and vendor teams to secure and maintain assets for future years, including convention center space, hotels, buses, equipment, and supplies.
β’ Define the operating standards, readiness milestones, and runbooks utilized by Session Leads for execution at both the subject and session levels.
β’ Develop site-wide systems for daily operations, including flow management, floor assignments, workspace oversight, issue escalation, vendor interactions, and late-scoring readiness.
β’ Oversee the operational health across the site during the Reading, intervening when vendor responsiveness, crisis situations, staffing issues, or execution challenges surpass session-level authority.
β’ Guide Session Leads and contribute to the evolution of the Site Logistics & Execution track as a sustainable operational capability.
β’ At least 7-10 years of experience as a senior operations leader with a strong understanding of logistics, vendor management, and live-event execution in complex settings.
β’ Proficient in designing systems for others to implement and discerning when to intervene versus allowing local operators to address issues.
β’ A strong cross-functional collaborator who can link site realities with scoring strategies and enhance the Reader experience.
β’ Remain composed under pressure and effective in managing crises, escalation processes, and vendor accountability.
β’ Capable of mentoring high-responsibility directors while upholding enterprise discipline.
β’ Possess a strategic and inclusive leadership approach: you prioritize effectively, establish robust team structures, anticipate future needs, and cultivate a culture of belonging.
β’ Demonstrated ability to drive performance and growth: you maintain high expectations, provide timely, evidence-based feedback, and guide team members to take calculated risks, enhance their skills, and achieve significant outcomes.
β’ This position may require travel 3-5 times per year to College Board offices or for College Board business, with travel durations ranging from 1-2 days to multi-week assignments during peak operational times supporting AP Reading activities from late May through June.
β’ Annual bonuses along with opportunities for merit-based raises and promotions.
β’ A mission-driven workplace where your contributions have a significant impact.
β’ A team that is dedicated to your growth and success.
