This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Offer strategic scientific leadership to further ACM’s long-term objectives.
• Collaborate with the VP of Clinical Operations to define and implement the scientific strategy.
• Accountable for the performance of scientific teams by managing resources, prioritizing tasks, and developing as well as monitoring metrics.
• Foster a high-performance culture through effective talent planning, selection, onboarding, and ongoing education.
• Curate and present comprehensive training programs and materials.
• Provide continuous coaching and mentorship, supported by regular performance metrics.
• Supervise Principal Scientists and manage strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate the development of 3PL and Client strategies and attend relevant meetings as needed.
• Act as the escalation point for both internal teams and external clients.
• Identify and engage in cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Oversee and assist in resolving findings from internal and external audits.
• PhD with 10 years of experience in Clinical Trials regulatory laboratory or a BS in Life Sciences with 15 years of experience in Clinical Trials regulatory laboratory.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience.
• NYS Certification of Qualification through the New York State Department of Health, Wadsworth Center.
• Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).
• Proficient in the application of science within a regulatory environment, including the validation of methodologies for clinical trials.
• Essential experience in leading teams, managing projects, and troubleshooting.
• Board Certification in relevant areas is preferred.
• Requires 50% travel to NYS.
