This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Articulate and implement the long-term vision for the RFP function at Brown & Brown.
• Develop the organizational framework, service model, governance structure, and operational model for a centralized RFP organization.
• Create a comprehensive multi-year roadmap aimed at enhancing scalability, efficiency, automation, and quality.
• Set service-level agreements, performance indicators, and reporting dashboards.
• Assemble and manage a national team of RFP managers, writers, and designers.
• Identify optimal staffing requirements, geographic distribution, specialization strategies, and career development paths.
• Hire, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team capable of handling intricate, high-volume proposal initiatives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
• Spearhead the RFP strategy, messaging, executive positioning, and unique selling points in collaboration with the communications team.
• Apply best practices in proposal management, content governance, and quality control.
• Develop standardized methodologies and workflows across the organization.
• Assess and integrate proposal automation, AI, and content management systems.
• Enhance the utilization of Loopio, CRM integrations, knowledge management tools, and workflow technologies.
• Discover opportunities to minimize cycle times, establish healthy hit ratios, and elevate proposal quality through automation and process reengineering.
• Advance a centralized content library and governance structure.
• Over 15 years of experience in proposal management, RFP leadership, sales enablement, business development support, or a related field.
• At least 7 years in leadership roles overseeing large proposal teams and managers.
• Experience in designing or scaling centralized proposal organizations.
• Proven track record of leading intricate proposal operations in insurance, consulting, financial services, professional services, or highly regulated sectors.
• Exceptional executive communication, leadership, and change management capabilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing proposal technologies and automating workflows.
• Experience managing substantial proposal volumes while supporting enterprise sales teams.
