This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Recruit, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of sales specialists focused on rare diseases.

• Propel sales performance to meet or surpass regional goals for new patient initiations and/or other relevant objectives set by Vera.
• Function as a player-coach by cultivating strong relationships with key healthcare professionals and accounts.
• Spearhead regional implementation of launch strategies to introduce atacicept to patients with IgAN.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Patient Support, Field Reimbursement, Marketing, Regional Marketing, and other customer-facing roles to ensure unified customer engagement as a cohesive One Vera team.
• Offer strategic insights to influence regional and national initiatives with a patient-centered approach.
• Exhibit in-depth knowledge of IgAN, its evolving treatment landscape, and the patient experience.
• Achieve success by leveraging financial and business acumen, including budget management and P&L oversight.
• Promote a culture that guarantees adherence to legal, regulatory, and corporate policies.
• Engage in extensive travel within the region (3–4 days/week) and to the headquarters in San Francisco, as well as national and regional meetings as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory; an advanced degree is preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 12 years in the healthcare/biopharmaceutical sector.
• At least 5 years of experience in front-line sales management.
• Demonstrated success in specialty or rare disease sales, with a preference for experience in rare diseases where healthcare professionals have multiple treatment options (nephrology experience is advantageous).
• Proven history of top sales performance as a leader, with recognition/awards and a significant leadership impact.
• Experience in leading cross-functional, customer-facing teams.
• Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Preference for candidates residing within the geographic area.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
