This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Support the VP of Pharma Strategy and Contracting in identifying manufacturer, product class, and pharmaceutical strategies, as well as implementing those strategies.
• Partner with Ascent Health Services to establish product class strategies and methods with pharmaceutical manufacturers for the Commercial business segment.
• Oversee pharmaceutical relationships and cultivate strategic alliances with selected pharmaceutical companies across internal Supply Chain teams.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Medicare formulary modeling teams to create product category strategies and submit manufacturer rebate requests.
• Offer insights regarding the Cigna Health Plan and large Custom Client formulary, rebate requests, and market strategies.
• Assist Account Directors in finalizing manufacturer rebate agreements and matrices, ensuring accuracy, signatures, and proper invoicing implementation.
• Provide support to Sales and Account Management teams on RFPs, presentations, and client discussions.
• Represent the department by delivering formulary strategies for Custom Clients.
• Aid Formulary Consultants with rebate requests.
• Engage with clinical, account management, operations, finance, and specialty business development management teams.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong financial understanding and awareness of supply chain dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Outstanding written, verbal communication, and presentation abilities.
• Proficient negotiation skills with the capacity to influence and persuade.
• Capability to balance organizational needs with those of external partners.
• Flexibility in navigating complex dynamics and ambiguity.
• Ability to effectively manage setbacks.
• Honest, direct, and transparent communication approach.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Registered Pharmacist (RPh or PharmD) and/or MBA is advantageous but not mandatory.
