This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and spearhead the long-term vision for Affirm Card, focusing on consumer experience, growth, and economics, including new card products that enhance our current offerings.
• Lead the direct-to-consumer card products in the US, including Affirm Cards and in-app virtual cards.
• Oversee our Card Platform, which encompasses authorization, ledgering, servicing, and controls, powering D2C products both domestically and internationally, along with various merchant and partner integrations.
• Convert company strategy into a clear roadmap that spans multiple teams and systems.
• Manage and nurture a team of Product Managers and Product Management leaders.
• Establish product standards, operational cadence, and decision-making frameworks.
• Create a sustainable organization that ensures high-quality outcomes without needing direct involvement in every decision.
• Own Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV), engagement metrics, unit economics, and credit outcomes for the Card domain.
• Shape investment strategies, manage trade-offs, and allocate resources across various product areas.
• Collaborate with Finance and Credit teams to enhance profitability and manage risk.
• Drive platform capabilities that accelerate progress across Affirm through APIs, controls, and servicing systems.
• Work closely with Engineering to evaluate cost versus value trade-offs at the system level.
• Ensure the Card Platform can scale reliably across diverse use cases, geographies, and partnerships.
• Align senior stakeholders from Engineering, Design, Credit, Legal, Partnerships, and Go-To-Market teams.
• Foster strong relationships with external partners, including networks, processors, and wallet providers.
• Represent the Card domain in executive forums and during company planning cycles.
• 15+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on leading multi-team product areas or platforms.
• Proven history of owning significant domains or business lines with substantial financial impact.
• Experience in managing managers and building high-performing Product Management teams.
• Demonstrated ability to establish systems, processes, and cultures that can scale effectively.
• Capacity to operate at a portfolio level, linking product decisions to overarching company strategy.
• Strong judgment regarding second- and third-order trade-offs, particularly within complex systems.
• Background in payments, cards, fintech, or related infrastructure.
• Comfort with both consumer-focused products and backend platforms.
• Ability to drive consensus among senior stakeholders and across various functions.
• Strong product instincts combined with rigorous, data-driven decision-making skills.
