📋 Description

• Take charge of the overall performance marketing strategy and its execution across various channels including paid search, paid social, display, and video, with direct responsibility for pipeline contribution, digital customer acquisition cost, and incremental revenue impact.

• Lead the Performance Marketing division encompassing paid search, paid social, as well as display and video functions, establishing performance benchmarks, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture where measurement rigor and creative instinct enhance one another.

• Develop the channel mix strategy by identifying the optimal balance across search, social, programmatic, and emerging channels based on audience signals, buying group intent, and incremental contribution rather than relying on historical allocation methods.

• Create and implement a framework for incremental measurement, replacing outdated attribution models with geo-based experiments and marketing mix modeling as the primary decision-making tools.

• Collaborate with Digital Intelligence and Insights to establish iROAS as the main performance marketing metric for the organization and develop the reporting infrastructure that highlights incremental contributions at the executive level.

• Manage vendor and agency relationships with a clear philosophy that emphasizes internal strategy while delegating execution to partners with well-defined accountability frameworks.

• Work alongside Digital Product and Engineering to ensure that investments in paid channels and on-site conversion architecture are optimized concurrently rather than in isolated planning cycles.

• Partner with Commerce to ensure that attribution is maintained throughout the entire conversion journey, including trial acquisition and transition from trial to paid conversion.

• Oversee the performance marketing segment of a long-term agentic marketing system, where budget allocation evolves into a dynamic, data-informed process operating at machine speed, with humans guiding strategy and governing outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in performance marketing, including at least 4 years in leadership roles managing senior teams and substantial program budgets within a B2C, B2B, or multi-channel setting.

• Proven experience in constructing or managing an incremental measurement framework, such as geo holdout experiments, marketing mix modeling, or similar methodologies.

• Strong expertise in paid search, paid social, and programmatic display, with the capability to navigate between strategic direction and technical details as the situation demands.

• A well-defined and defendable perspective on the distinction between efficiency metrics and effectiveness metrics, along with the ability to persuasively communicate this to executive audiences.

• Experience in evaluating and cultivating talent with honesty, including the capacity to thoughtfully reposition individuals and establish accountability without compromising team cohesion.

• Ability to thrive in a two-speed organization, achieving results in the current quarter while also developing the measurement and decision-making infrastructure that will shape the next three years.

• Familiarity with enterprise analytics platforms and the capability to collaborate with data and engineering teams to develop the necessary measurement infrastructure for this role.
