Senior Director of Content Production

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee JoVE’s content production division, which comprises over 100 content creators, animators, and media producers.

• Produce high-quality videos focused on science research and education for K–12, higher education, and corporate training worldwide.

• Develop and implement the content strategy.

• Enhance operations and promote efficiency throughout the entire content lifecycle.

• Utilize AI-driven workflows, automation, and cutting-edge technologies.

• Deliver 5,000 videos each year across Higher Education, K–12, and Corporate Learning sectors.

• Ensure that teams meet deadlines, quality expectations, and performance targets.

• Establish objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) while assessing team productivity.

• Streamline production processes, remove obstacles, and enhance workflows.

• Manage vendor relationships, balancing internal capabilities with those of external partners.

• Work in collaboration with Product and leadership teams to ensure alignment of production plans with organizational priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in managing large-scale video content production.

• Experience in the EdTech sector is a significant advantage.

• More than 5 years of management experience leading large, multi-tiered teams of 40 or more.

• Strong background in setting objectives, KPIs, and overseeing team performance.

• Documented success in increasing production throughput and capacity while upholding high-quality standards.

• Proven ability to implement AI and automation in content or video production.

• Excellent operational and analytical skills.

• Familiarity with using KPIs to identify performance bottlenecks and enhance efficiency.

• Experience with vendor management and outsourced production is preferred.

• Familiarity with production and workflow management tools such as Asana, Jira, or Frame.io is preferred.
