This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Develop and execute a Quality Management Plan customized for each data center construction project within the portfolio.
• Conduct regular site evaluations to ensure compliance with construction standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Oversee the quality and commissioning processes for MEP systems, ensuring compliance with project timelines and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, project management, and contractors to address quality-related challenges.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute, LEED, ISO, and ASHRAE).
• Establish quality control procedures tailored to the project for materials, workmanship, and installations, including HVAC, electrical, and networking infrastructure.
• Attend selected construction progress meetings and preinstallation job site meetings to gather information on construction advancements.
• Attend and take responsibility for all commissioning meetings.
• Work alongside project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective implementation of MEP systems.
• Perform root-cause analysis of defects and suggest corrective measures.
• Manage testing and commissioning activities for data center mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and reports on quality audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Provide training to construction teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Preference for a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering instead of Civil engineering.
• A minimum of 9-15 years of experience in construction quality management, ideally in data center or mission-critical facilities.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, MEP systems, and commissioning methodologies.
• Certifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), LEED AP, or Uptime Institute Accreditation are advantageous.
• QCxP accreditation is considered favorable.
