• Lead a regional team of district managers (DMs) with an emphasis on engagement and performance.
• Continuously enhance capabilities by coaching DMs through problem-solving and decision-making processes.
• Create a robust talent pipeline, recruit top-quality candidates, focus on training and development, address HR challenges, and promote retention.
• Deliver an outstanding employee experience by identifying opportunities for promotions and, when necessary, taking disciplinary actions, including terminations.
• Cultivate and develop the DM team while establishing pipelines for future DM talent within the districts.
• Equip and empower DMs to make strategic and tactical decisions that improve employee engagement and positively impact financial results.
• Regularly visit stores to assess performance and work environments, providing feedback and recognition to store managers and DMs.
• Maintain proactive communication with DMs and store managers to facilitate the effective implementation of directives, policies, and procedures.
• Foster commitment from direct reports to embrace change by inviting their input and ideas while setting clear expectations for the future.
• Drive overall business performance.
• Demonstrate advanced business acumen and make data-driven decisions that yield positive regional outcomes.
• Clearly articulate and communicate a compelling company vision to inspire the team to meet or exceed company goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate leaders to secure resources, resolve issues, enhance processes, and boost store performance.
• Build strong relationships and work closely with corporate business partners (e.g., HR, finance, real estate, construction) to seize business opportunities.
• Analyze vital business results and routinely visit stores to enhance performance among the DMs in your region.
• Utilize reports and metrics to make informed decisions that drive sales, enhance customer experience, and increase profitability.
• Ensure accountability and achieve budget goals by controlling expenses, safeguarding company assets, driving sales, and maximizing profit margins.
• Strategically plan for operational enablement to foster revenue growth.
• Collaborate with and provide constructive feedback to the regional support team.
• Listen attentively and prioritize interactions with associates at various levels within the region to understand and proactively address regional needs.
• Encourage and empower regional team members to explore and test more effective working methods.
• Achieve outcomes without compromising the quality or integrity of work while adhering to company policies and applicable laws.
• Foster a culture of customer obsession.
• Create and maintain a sales culture that drives regional business performance.
• Ensure outstanding customer experiences through the implementation of the Five Below service model.
• Strategically evaluate districts and coach leaders to ensure consistent customer experiences and drive incremental sales growth.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Over 10 years of retail experience, including more than 5 years in multi-store management.
• Experience in retail operations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to strategize and effectively manage time to achieve business objectives.
• Capacity for independent decision-making and working with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff across multiple locations.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated success in executing corporate business plans.
• Proficient in computer usage and standard office software applications.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
