Senior Director, NPI and Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Lead the Fremont D&D operations team to achieve and surpass key process indicators, encompassing service, quality, margin, and operational efficiency.

• Assume P&L responsibilities for the Fremont D&D operations team, ensuring financial objectives are met and revenue is generated.

• Develop, enhance, and implement a comprehensive new production introduction strategy in collaboration with the Viant D&D organization.

• Collaborate directly with the Vice President of Operations to support the vital few tactics and initiatives of the plastics business unit.

• Provide customer support, maintain clear communication, and serve as a point of escalation.

• Cultivate financial and costing knowledge to evaluate customer quotes and proposals.

• Oversee and manage the portfolio of new product introductions for the plastics business unit, addressing project issues and prioritization at manufacturing sites. Drive project timelines to ensure financial success for projects and transfers.

• Partner with commercial, operations, and supply chain leaders to optimize launch execution, resource allocation, and operational performance for products and projects.

• Supervise specialized, complex technical and strategic projects within operations.

• Convey complex ideas clearly, anticipating objections and persuading both internal and external stakeholders.

• Lead the development of solutions and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring effective execution and communication with stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15+ years of program management experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.

• Proficiency in strategic program management, standardization, and oversight of multiple projects.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Proven experience with complex technical and strategic projects.

• Ability to work independently, with objectives articulated in terms of solutions or results.

• Exceptional communication skills, including the capacity to persuade and coach others.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and skills in risk mitigation.

• Excellent internal and external customer relations.

• Knowledge of validations is preferred.

• Experience managing P&L for a business unit or product line, ideally in a launch or commercialization context.

• Familiarity with organizational change management and campus consolidation is a plus.
