Senior Director, MSO Finance

📋 Description

• Assist in maintaining the financial health and strategic direction of the Management Services Organization (MSO), including overseeing capital deployment processes.

• Facilitate financial modeling for mergers and acquisitions while monitoring deal synergies and dis-synergies.

• Enhance operational efficiency through robust financial governance and standardized integration procedures.

• Formulate and implement the MSO financial strategy to align with organizational objectives.

• Provide financial analysis and advisory support to MSO leadership to inform strategic decisions and long-term planning.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to pinpoint opportunities for growth, cost optimization, and operational improvements.

• Act as a financial business partner for business units, local FP&A, contracting, and initiatives.

• Standardize financial processes and reporting for the MSO, including forecasting and insights at the practice level.

• Collaborate with MSO CFOs on budget preparation, forecasts, and financial modeling.

• Track financial performance, trends, risks, opportunities, profitability, efficiency, and resource allocation.

• Enhance the commercial finance platform structure and improve activities across therapeutic areas.

• Manage daily financial operations, including revenue cycle management, billing, and collections.

• Establish financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

• Support the financial integration of new MSOs and post-merger activities.

• Identify potential acquisition targets, evaluate them along with market trends, and develop M&A deal models and synergy cases.

• Conduct financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation support.

• Consolidate systems, align policies, monitor synergy realization, and prepare reports and presentations for leadership.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, financial reporting standards, and relevant laws.

• Identify and manage financial risks while collaborating with legal and compliance teams on requirements and audits.

• Advise MSO leadership and partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders.

• Represent the MSO in financial discussions with affiliated practices, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

• Build and lead a high-performing finance team, mentoring and developing team members.

• Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within the finance team and the broader organization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.

• A minimum of 8+ years of progressively responsible experience is essential.

• At least 2 years of experience in a management role is needed.

• Demonstrated success in a healthcare or MSO setting is required.

• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle management, provider compensation models, and healthcare financial operations is necessary.

• Experience in managing complex budgets, financial planning processes, and operational integration is important.

• Expertise in financial management principles, financial statement analysis, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis, and financial reporting is required.

• Proficiency in financial planning software and applications is essential.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other leaders is a must.

• Strong leadership and influencing abilities are necessary.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment are required.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Hyperion, or other data analytics platforms is required.

• Basic understanding of AI technologies, including Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude experience, is preferred.

• An advanced degree or CPA designation is advantageous.
