This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Accountable for overseeing several manufacturing facilities within a matrix organization that supports various business lines.
• Collaborate in a team-oriented environment, effectively engaging and influencing cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.
• Enhance and thoroughly comprehend the business landscape and financial aspects.
• Propel consistent outcomes in meeting operational objectives and targets as defined by Key Performance Indicators (KPI), with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: workforce training and culture enhancement, product delivery within budget, quality and delivery standards, EHS compliance and sustainability, P&L management, continuous improvement, and customer service satisfaction both internally and externally.
• Tasked with investing in the operation of four unique optical laboratories across the United States.
• Supervise the management of multiple facilities to fulfill requirements related to quality, customer service, cost-efficiency, and environmental, health, and safety standards.
• Accountable for attaining operational objectives and targets outlined in the Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Ensure that consistent processes and procedures are upheld to support efficient operations and improve customer satisfaction.
• Advocate for continuous improvement initiatives throughout all areas (quality, capacity, costs, etc.) to eliminate non-value-added processes and waste.
• Facilitate a team-driven approach to strategic planning and execution, financial oversight, purchasing management, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Lead and cultivate the skills and capabilities of the site management team.
• Promote world-class benchmark data to establish best practices and standard operating procedures across all facilities.
• Ensure adherence to all Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and regulations that foster a safe and healthy workplace.
• Direct the team in aspects including selection, training and development, coaching, counseling, and performance management.
• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with a focus on chemical, mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering; a master’s degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 3 additional years of experience in the relevant functional area.
• At least 6 years of management experience with responsibilities that include hiring, training, assigning tasks, and managing the performance of direct reports.
• Experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment with responsibility for multiple facilities is required.
• Familiarity with laboratory operations, equipment, workflows and procedures, quality systems, lean manufacturing principles, and EHS standards.
• Experience interfacing with various ERP, CMMS, LMS, PLC Controls, or other technological platforms is essential.
• Ability to consistently drive accountability and performance expectations across diverse geographies and cultures.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills to implement root cause solutions with a sound financial perspective.
• Capable of managing complex projects that necessitate independent action, a high level of initiative, and coordination across departments.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Current knowledge of automated systems, data, and technology.
• Ability to cultivate constructive and collaborative relationships.
• Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively manage teams and develop personnel.
