This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of research, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring in areas such as private credit, private equity, venture capital, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, and other diversifying investments.
• Lead the Alternative Investment Subcommittee, managing agendas, conducting diligence, making recommendations, and ensuring follow-through.
• Oversee relationships with managers and provide recommendations based on factors such as source of return, portfolio role, structure, liquidity, fees, and client value.
• Develop frameworks for allocation sizing, liquidity, diversification, and pacing in conjunction with traditional investments.
• Engage with the Public Markets Subcommittee, contributing to ETF-based model portfolios and asset allocation strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to deliver investment intelligence through internal tools.
• Act as an investment partner to Wealth Advisors on portfolio construction and complex client discussions.
• Create scalable frameworks and educational resources for advisors to effectively utilize alternatives.
• Work closely with the CIO, Investment Committee, Alternative Investment Subcommittee, and Public Markets Subcommittee.
• Coordinate with Compliance and Legal teams regarding regulatory requirements, as well as Operations and Trading teams for implementation.
• More than 7 years of relevant investment experience in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), multi-family office, Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO), consultancy, allocator, or asset management firm.
• Proven experience in conducting due diligence for alternatives.
• Solid understanding of public markets, ETFs, and asset allocation.
• Demonstrated history of presenting to an Investment Committee.
• Direct experience in advisor/client-facing roles.
• Strong skills in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as communication.
• Ability to establish processes in uncertain environments and across various functional areas.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• CFA or CAIA designation is preferred, or currently in progress.
• Preferred skills include familiarity with Koyfin, Morningstar, YCharts, Orion Risk Intelligence, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of AI-enabled investment tools is a plus; however, development skills are not necessary.
