Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iraq.

📋 Description

• Facilitate business expansion through budgeting and latest estimate (LE) initiatives

• Oversee receivables and ensure prompt follow-up and collection

• Conduct quarterly reconciliation analysis of sales with distributors

• Prepare accruals during month-end closing to support precise financial reporting

• Record commercial invoices and reconcile accounts receivable transactions

• Handle bookkeeping, withholding tax, income tax, social security, tax clearance, and local financial statements

• Investigate variances in COGS and assist with budget and forecast reporting

• Verify warehouse stock movements, scrap, write-offs, and inventory balances

• Manage the TMS cycle at the gross profit level

• Perform volume-mix and price analysis across various brands and SKUs

• Evaluate brand-level profitability by consolidating revenue and cost determinants

• Prepare, review, and analyze quarterly P&Ls for distributors

• Monitor operating expenses and compare actuals against established benchmarks

• Maintain current price lists and reconcile FOC discounts between TMS and IMS

• Assist the Finance Manager with budget exercises and coordinate data gathering

• Contribute to management presentation materials for forecasts and business performance evaluations

• Propose cost reduction strategies and enhancements to financial performance

• Support internal control framework activities, documentation, and walkthroughs

• Report directly to the Finance Manager

• 3–6 years of experience in a comparable role

• Proficient command of both English and Arabic

• Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Capability to analyze, develop, and implement financial improvement strategies

• Ability to collaborate within and lead cross-functional teams

• Keen attention to detail and precision

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

• Strong numerical and analytical problem-solving abilities

• Comprehensive understanding of economic principles, tax regulations, and financial markets
