This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Direct strategic planning efforts for the extensive and intricate e.l.f. Beauty account while serving as a senior escalation point for planning quality, client trust, and significant strategic decisions.
β’ Function as the key strategic partner to Client Partners in major account planning, pinpointing media-driven growth opportunities that can enhance client revenue, broaden the portfolio, and strengthen the agency relationship.
β’ Transform complex data, media strategies, and creative ideas into concise, impactful, and compelling strategic recommendations.
β’ Review and elevate our client deliverables, understanding that sometimes the most effective 50-slide presentation can actually be distilled into a 5-slide summary.
β’ Act as a trusted strategic ally to e.l.f. VPs and executives, providing high-level insights into the beauty, consumer, and digital marketing landscape.
β’ Co-lead significant new business and portfolio expansion pitches in partnership with Business Development and Client Partners, crafting the planning narrative, strategic storyline, and investment rationale.
β’ Maintain a consistent, real-time awareness of internet culture, community dynamics, and emerging digital trends, ensuring that both the agency and the client proactively engage with trends rather than merely reacting to them.
β’ Champion the adoption and integration of the agency's proprietary planning suite and additional planning tools into strategic planning efforts, emphasizing scalable solutions and enhanced planning quality.
β’ Clearly articulate the structure, strengths, and limitations of available planning tools and connect those insights to advanced measurement frameworks such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) and broader client business objectives.
β’ Supervise advanced data analysis approaches and planning-related testing, ensuring that strategic hypotheses are well-defined and learnings are actionable, enabling the team to adapt swiftly to challenges and enhance practices.
β’ 7-10+ years of experience in digital strategy, communications planning, or brand strategy, preferably within a fast-paced agency or a rapidly growing consumer brand (experience in Beauty/CPG is a significant advantage).
β’ Strong expertise across both linear and digital channels, with a notable focus on video, social media, and integrated full-funnel planning.
β’ Proficiency in at least three marketing channels is preferred.
β’ A demonstrated history of creating high-impact, concise presentation decks tailored for C-suite and VP-level audiences.
β’ An in-depth understanding of the creator economy and community building.
β’ Direct experience or substantial familiarity with social commerce platforms (such as TikTok Shop, Instagram Shopping, YouTube) and modern commerce platforms, including Amazon.
β’ Extensive knowledge and a strong perspective on planning, insight, and competitive research tools such as Kantar, SimilarWeb, Pathmatics, MRI, eMarketer, and similar platforms, along with an understanding of their influence on strategic planning quality.
β’ A genuine passion for pop culture, beauty trends, and digital subcultures, with a natural inclination for trend forecasting.
